The electrical engineers relying on yesterday’s energy ideas have no chance of survival in the renewable and configurable energy environment where the speed of distribution and utilization is maximum. The phase of the next generation energy resources changes will be in multiple dimensions and the micro charges need an integrated electrical and electronics engineering environment with other engineering disciplines. A continual development is achieved in training our students to meet the challenges of energy crisis in future.

Program Outcomes

At the end of the programme, the student will be able to,

Apply knowledge of Mathematics, Science and Engineering to solve problems in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Design a system, component or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health, safety, manufacturability and sustainability.

Design and conduct experiments on Electrical systems as well as analyze and interpret data.

Facilities

“Knowledge without practice creates but half-an expert” so electrical workshop imparts the basic and practical knowledge giving an idea about the tools and accessories used for wiring and different domestic appliances. The laboratory deals with the fundamentals like resistor color coding, the study and usage of millimetres, CRO, logic gates and half and full wave rectifiers.

Control System Laboratory gives an idea about the different motors namely DC Servomotor, AC Servomotor, Stepper motor etc. Design and implementation of I order and II order system are performed using Mat lab software. Different control modules are used for the determination of the transfer function of a system.

Measurement and Instrumentation Laboratory imparts the basic knowledge about the different transducers and bridge circuitry involved in measuring the basic parameters like resistance, inductance and capacitance.

Electrical Machines Laboratory has sufficient space and good quality machines to demonstrate various electrical machines used as drives in industries. Specifications and terminals of all the equipment have been displayed on the work table.

Power Electronics Laboratory has all type of electrical drive with advanced control mechanisms. A coil winding machine and digital simulation of all machines are also available
