National Service Scheme (NSS)

National Service Scheme commonly known as NSS aims to improving the personality of students through community service. This goal is accomplished by service to the community. NSS helps students build respect for the points of view of others and also demonstrate understanding of ‘other living beings.’

Objective:

The overall objective of NSS is Personality Development through community service. The broad objectives of NSS are to:

  • Understand the community in which they work
  • Understand themselves in relation to their community
  • Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving process. Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility
  • Utilize their knowledge in finding practical solution to individual and community problems
  • Develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities
  • Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude
  • Practice national integration and social harmony

 

Our Institution’s NSS unit, with student volunteers, plays an active role in shaping humane and responsible citizenship for our students. The ultimate purpose of NSS is student personality growth through community service. We carried out the numerous activities like

  • Medical health check-up camp
  • Planting of trees
  • Plastic awareness programs
  • Personality development programs
  • Surveys for adopted village
  • Cleaning and other constructive activities
