Science & Humanities

The Department of Sciences and Humanities is the gateway of Engineering Education. The department encompasses of four major disciplines such as, English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Faculty members of this department have opulent varied experiences in teaching as well as in research. The pivotal focus is to provide pedestal in basic sciences that acts as a foundation for engineering subjects. All the first year students are administrated with parental care through mentorship. The Department is quite active in conducting Workshops, Seminars and Faculty Development Programs to create awareness and vigour in students as well as teachers. Apart from teaching, the department takes a prominent role to imbibe leadership qualities, personality development, soft skills etc. through various clubs.

As Science & Humanities subjects are the foundation subjects for all the branches of engineering, the department imparts to build a firm base as part of the Engineering Education. The main objectives of the department is

To promote and create scientific awareness

Professor and Head of Science and Humanities with 27 years of teaching experience. Doctoral degree from Anna University, Chennai in the field of Topology and published research papers in various reputed International Journals. Presented research articles in International and National conferences. Handled technical sessions in engineering colleges for first year students on Applications of Mathematics in Engineering Field. Acted as a Chair at an International Conference organized by University of Sains, Penang, Malaysia. Have undertaken various responsibilities in Academics and as well as in administration.
